Part 2: Miss Adventure explores the UK

I know this post took more than a month to be completed. I have been quite busy recently enjoying the sun, the barbecue parties, the picnics by the lake and the rivers, and the occasional running and cycling in Munich. ;-)

Anyway, let's talk about the amazing UK trip more than a year ago (I still cannot believe how fast time flies!). After exploring London town, Sasa and I took tours to the nearby towns to visit more amazing places.

Part 1: Miss Adventure explores the UK

It has been a year since I first visited the United Kingdom. And until now, I still remember how fun, memorable, and amazing it was!

My brilliant friend, Sasa, invited me to fly to London with her for two weeks. Singapore Airlines, she said, was on sale at that time. Without second thoughts, I agreed. Guess it is pretty easy to convince me to travel! Just say SALE and TRAVEL in one sentence!

Autumn in Portugal

For the past four years, I made sure to travel on my birthday. It didn't have to be on the day itself, but at least on dates close to it. Traveling, I believe, is the greatest reward I can give to myself.

So a week after my birthday last year, I traveled to Portugal with my boyfriend. It was both our first time to visit this country that is known for its Port wine, its beaches, its tart, and, perhaps, Cristiano Ronaldo.

Exploring the French Countryside: Bretagne

One year ago, I was planning for a trip to the UK when I was asked for dinner by this certain guy. I marched into that dinner date with travel magazines about Europe in hand.

During dinner, I told him that I would be leaving for a two-week holiday to the UK and asked him about his hometown in France. He said that he came from Western France where the beaches are nice and the weather was incredible.

On va à Paris! Let's go to Paris!

I really tried to sum up in three blogposts all my adventures in Paris. I am not sure if I was able to convey all my thoughts and experiences, but I recommend that you go and visit Paris, if you have the opportunity.  That city is worth the money, the time, and the effort! Paris has so much to offer for everyone's taste and likes.

So how do you get to and go around Paris? Pretty easy.

Part 3: Miss A's Paris Adventure

One night I was asked by my boyfriend if Paris was my most favorite city in the world. I said, no. Actually, London is my most favorite city, but it does not mean I don't like Paris. Don't get me wrong.

I have a love-hate relationship with Paris. I love the city because it's beautiful beyond words. I had such great memories living there. I met really great people and have nothing, but nice words to say about them. I learned a lot about the city, its culture, its food, its people, and its language.

I love Paris, but I still hate it because of the...

Part 2: Miss A's Paris Adventure

If by any chance, you got interested in the activities I did or the places I explored in my previous blogpost about Paris, here's a continuation of my Paris adventure.

Parks and Gardens - I arrived in Paris at the start of autumn. I really prepared myself for the cold weather since I am not used to it. Thus all I brought were clothes for winter. But there were days in Paris when I experienced the Indian summer. For a few weeks since I arrived, the weather was very lovely for outdoor activities. In this part of the world, when the sun is out, people need to take advantage of it because there are times when the weather's either too cold or gloomy. It's not like in Southeast Asia where it's sunny all year round.

Part 1: Miss A's Paris Adventure

How was your Easter celebration? I just came back from a weekend holiday in France. I spent Easter with my boyfriend and his family. It was short, but definitely sweet.

When we talk about France, Paris always comes to our minds. And why not? It is the city where everyone dreams of exploring. It is the city where everyone raves about being amazing. It is the city where everyone wishes to live. Even Audrey Hepburn said that, "Paris is always a good idea."

The Record-breaking Apartment

On my second day in Munich, I had a conversation with my relocation consultant about my future apartment as she accompanied me to process important documents. She mentioned that finding a modern, reasonably priced apartment in the city central can be very tough. Well, according to this article, Munich is the most expensive city in Germany and affordable housing can be extremely difficult to find. The housing market, too, is very competitive. The supply does not meet the demand. It can be likened to an audition for American Idol or The Voice. Most nice apartments have at least 30 people bidding for them. Landlords, too, have set really high standards for their future tenants.

Alone, but never Lonely

It's the weekend once again. How time swiftly passes by!

I've been back to work for two weeks now and I still cannot believe it. In case you don't know, I didn't work for six months. I spent quality time with my family, friends, boyfriend, and myself in those six long months. Crazy, right? But actually, it was the best six months of my life. I traveled to Cambodia, UAE, Portugal, France, the UK, Singapore, and Germany. I went on road trips in the Philippines. I learned French. I improved my driving and baking skills. I helped in my parents' business. I became my little sister's chef. I  lived in and explored Paris for three months.

Miss A moves to Munich

There is a controversial article about the expats. This article sparked debates among readers. It's strange why some people like to put labels on other people based on where they come from or their skin color.

But this blogpost isn't really about that article. It's about my recent move to Germany.

I arrived in Munich two weeks ago for a job that I accepted back in December 2014. Yes, it took almost three months to have everything processed and ready for me to be allowed to work here. It was quite a journey to get my visa, but its reward was sweet. I am really happy to be finally here!

About Me

Hey there,

Thanks for dropping by!

I'm Miss A, born and raised in the south of the Philippines. I'd like to call myself as a traveler of life, and I'm very interested in exploring new cultures and new places.

Aside from traveling, my second passion is cooking. I love to cook for myself, my loved ones, and my friends. This passion for cooking also fuels my love for eating. I was lucky enough to live in Singapore for a few years, where the food culture is awesome, and in Paris, where the cuisine is phenomenal.

I am now based in Munich, and although the cuisine is not as vibrant, the beer culture is awesome.

Join me in my adventures as I explore and experience the world, and I hope that you'll find my blog helpful as you set your own life adventures.

If you have any questions or suggestions about my blog, please leave a comment or send me an e-mail message at missadventurewrites(at)gmail(dot)com.
